Cultural civics heritage for Canadians

We need to ensure that while moving our democratic process forward in a positive direction, we need to protect, foster and grow our democratic parliamentary institutions, our voting rights, civic duties, civil liberties and freedoms.

Along with respect, input and involvement from provincial, territorial and Canadians in general, a Canadian civics curriculum would be introduced in secondary schools. The democratic non-racial civics curriculum would allow students to maximize their potential and to foster a Canadian heritage as an individual and citizen, in respect to land and locality they call home, within our Canadian borders.

The curriculum would be intended to help students understand the benefits of their civic involvement and that fostering a strong municipal, provincial and federal democratic perspective is a positive influence for our continued democratic rights, and to our overall growth as a country, both civically and economically. The first 2 years of the curriculum would concentrate more on the foundations of Canadian civics. The following 2 years would be concentrated more on the technical aspects of our civic institutions, duties, responsibilities etc.

All secondary school civics courses could apply towards any Co-op programs, should those programs exist. Secondary school students participating in civics would receive federal tuition based credits to help with post-secondary education costs. Provincial and/or other level incentives could be part of the framework. We look forward to working with Canadians in order to provide a moderate modern approach to foster a better Canadian democratic future.

In order to continue to provide Canadians with a modern approach to democracy, graduated students will have access to the thousands of jobs available in order to maintain the supporting information based frameworks and structures which will serve to protect, foster and grow our democratic parliamentary institutions, our voting rights, civic duties, our civil liberties and freedoms.
